Ab initio

In the beginning God created darkness so that his glory could shine. He also created angels so that they could carry his light. Yet he yearned to make somebody whose heart would understand his majesty. So he fashioned men in his image. Then the highest angel came to the lord God saying: “Almighty, the Holly one, I saw the people, they look like you.”

God answered him:

“I put my heart in theirs so that they could love each other.”

Then the angel became envious:

“But how can anybody else be closer to you than I?”

God replied to Him:

“Did not I put you highest among the angels?”

Then the angel left God and went to the woman. Eve was alone. She greeted him:

“God bless you, Lucifer, what good things do you bring to me from God?”

Satan told her:

“I have talked to God secretly and he is planning to separate Himself from you because his light might be weakened if he continues to be so gracious.”

Then Eve got frightened:

“What shall I do? It will be my end. I cannot live without the Lord!”

The devil told her:

“There is only one way out. I am closest to God out of all the angels. I know where God keeps his power. Nobody has such a knowledge of God as I have. If you worship me I will give you the might that has been given to me and you will be like God, you will live forever.”

Then Eve bowed down deeply. When her husband Adam came he asked her:

“What are you doing Eve? Is not our God the highest one? But you are worshipping his angels!” Then Eve realised that she had done wrong and felt the abject shame. She hugged him and kissed him saying:

“Adam, my lover, my admirer, see my beauty! You have to believe me. Satan came and told me that God wants to take me out of this place. Do not allow that. Let's worship Satan and he will set us free from God. Moreover, he will give us the power of God for he(Satan) knows everything.”

Adam looked at Eve once more, He felt great pain in his heart that God wanted to take Eve away from him. He cried and bowed down to worship Satan and his angels.

Afterwards Satan came to God accusing:

“See what your people are doing, they are worshipping angels and not you!”

Then God came to the Garden of Eden and saw his people worshipping Satan as He was told. God wept. Adam and Eve heard the cry, their hearts moved and they became ashamed of themselves. God asked Adam:

“What are you doing? Do you not know who I am?”

Adam said trembling:

“You wanted to take Eve, my woman, out of this paradise. Thus I got scared that afterwards you would get rid of me also.”

Then Eve replied:

“Satan told me that you wanted to destroy people secretly.”

God cried:

“O you foolish people! You have been deceived by the betrayer. Now you will have to be cast out of the paradise because your hearts have been contaminated. You believed angels instead of me. You did not seek the truth. You cannot stay in my glory for you would die.”

Then God turned to Satan:

“The woman will crash your head and you will be thrown into the darkness where no light shines. You will be altogether with my betrayers there where worms never die and fire never ceases.”

Then he looked at Adam and Eve saying:

“You will seek me and will not find me. And your eyes will be blinded, your hearts will be cold until the time of fury is accomplished.”
